SB 937 - This act would allow retired teachers to be employed as full-time nonteacher school employees, without being subject to the "550 hour rule".
Under the 550 hour rule, retired teachers generally cannot be employed more than 550 hours per school year without discontinuing their retirement allowance during each month of such employment.
This act is identical to HB 1295 (1998).
