AN ACT
To amend chapter 288, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to notification of unemployment benefit eligibility by certain employers.
Section A. Chapter 288, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 288.041, to read as follows:
288.041. Any entity described pursuant to subsection 8 of section 288.034 or subdivision (1) or (2) of subsection 9 of section 288.034, who employs any individual whose employment is not subject to the provisions of chapter 288, shall provide such individual with written notice that the individual is not covered with respect to unemployment benefits. Such notice shall be provided each such individual:
(1) At the time of initial employment, for all initial employments occurring on or after the effective date of this act;
(2) Upon the change in status of employment subject to this act;
(3) For all individuals employed by such entity as of the effective date of this act, within thirty days of the effective date of this act.
