FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator (CTS) assume the proposed legislation would cause a slight increase in the number of cases filed. CTS would not expect a significant impact on the workload of the judiciary.
Officials from the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) and the Office of the Secretary of State (SOS) assume the proposed legislation would have no impact on their agencies.

Certain small businesses could be impacted by this proposal, as it would allow civil actions against the principal in certain situations.
DESCRIPTION
The proposed legislation would allow any person who is entitled to sales commission to bring a civil action against the principal who fails to timely pay the commission. Person is defined in the act.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
