HB 1136 - This act requires that written notices be sent to the district's State Representative and State Senator whenever a violation has occurred at a nursing home or residential care facility located in that district. Current law requires the Department of Social Services to notify facility administrators and certain agencies whenever violations occur. Written notices of Class I standard violations and notices of noncompliance must now also be sent to the state legislators representing the district in which the facility is located.

SCA 1 - CLARIFIES LANGUAGE OUTLINING WHEN AND HOW STATE LEGISLATORS WILL BE NOTIFIED FOR LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY VIOLATIONS. SCA 2 - AUTHORIZES THE DIVISION OF AGING TO ESTABLISH A PILOT PROJECT WHERE FIVE ALZHEIMER AND DEMENTIA CARE FACILITIES WILL BE DEVELOPED. SCA 3 - EXTENDS THE CERTIFICATE OF NEED MORATORIUM DATES.
