HB 1136 | Requires General Assembly notification of nursing home violations |
HB 1136 - This act requires that written notices be sent to
the district's State Representative and State Senator whenever a
violation has occurred at a nursing home or residential care
facility located in that district. Current law requires the
Department of Social Services to notify facility administrators
and certain agencies whenever violations occur. Written notices
of Class I standard violations and notices of noncompliance must
now also be sent to the state legislators representing the
district in which the facility is located.
