HB 1381 - This act would allow persons in federal service to vote by the Internet under the direction of the Federal Voting Assistance Program. Such persons could cast votes only on issues and candidates in which they were eligible to vote by absentee ballot. Security, secrecy and other provisions are under procedures established by the Department of Defense. Nothing in this act shall be construed to create grounds for recount or election contest.

This act has an emergency clause, and a termination date of December 31, 2000. This act is similar to SB 717 (1998).
