HB 1622 (Truly Agreed) | Revises Public Water Supply District Formation Law |
HB 1622 - Under current law incorporation of a public water supply district must be approved by two-thirds of the voters in the proposed district.
If those persons who wish to form a public water supply
district specify in the petition that the district shall be
organized without authority to issue general obligation bonds,
the voter approval need only be a simple majority.
TOM MORTON
SCA 1 - CLARIFIES THAT THE PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT WOULD HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO ISSUE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS.
