SCS/HB 1734 - This act allows counties other than township counties to provide for payment of real and personal property taxes, at the option of the taxpayer, on an annual, semiannual, or quarterly basis. Tax payments will be estimated based on the previous tax year's liability. Provisions are included for interest computations on overpayments and underpayments of the tax.

Counties are also allowed to accept payments by credit card or automatic bank transfers of any tax owed to the county.

This act will become effective January 1, 1999.
