HB 1226 -- DETENTION FACILITIES This bill expands authority to the family court administrator, when local rule permits, to appoint and fix the compensation and maintenance of the superintendent and assistants or other personnel needed to operate the juvenile detention facility. This provision applies to first and second class counties and to the City of St. Louis.
HB 1226 -- DETENTION FACILITIES (May, 108) This bill expands authority to the family court administrator, when local rule permits, to have similar authority to the judge of the juvenile court to appoint and fix the compensation and maintenance of the superintendent and assistants or other personnel needed to operate the detention facility. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

This bill expands authority to the family court administrator, when local rule permits, to have similar authority to the judge of the juvenile court to appoint and fix the compensation and maintenance of the superintendent and assistants or other personnel needed to operate the detention facility. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this bill clarifies that circuits by rule may permit a family court administrator to appoint detention center personnel.
