HB 1228 -- BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS SPONSOR: May (108) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Judiciary by a vote of 17 to 0. This bill clarifies that a foreign registered limited liability limited partnership or a foreign registered limited liability partnership is not transacting business in the state solely because it is a member of a limited liability company. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this bill makes technical corrections to the law concerning limited liability partnerships.
