SB 618 - This act increases the amount of maximum liability for the state or political subdivisions from one to two million dollars. It increases the maximum liability for persons from one to three hundred thousand dollars. Liability for any one person in a single accident is in addition to reasonable and necessary medical expenses. Lastly, the act provides for annual review of the limitation on awards based on an economic price index.
