SB 678 - This act requires people who are titling new homemade trailers to get the trailers inspected first by the local sheriff. This is limited to trailers 16' or more in length. The sheriff shall issue a certificate if the trailer appears to be homemade and if it is road worthy. A fee of $10 is paid to the sheriff and remitted to the county law enforcement or general fund. This provision is identical to SCS/HB 1528.
