SB 808 - This act affects the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and allows a superintendent to appoint up to twenty-five captains (currently twenty-one); sixty lieutenants (currently forty-six); and ninety-three officers and patrolmen (currently forty). The provision which exempts patrol members hired in conjunction with the community-oriented policing services federal grant has been deleted.
