SB 846 - After July 1, 1999, no person in this state shall act as a real estate appraiser or to engage in the business of real estate appraisal without obtaining a license or certificate issued by the Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission.

No license or certificate shall be issued under the provisions of Chapter 339, RSMo, to a partnership, association, corporation, firm or group.

A nonlicensed or certified person may assist a state-licensed or state-certified appraiser.

Provisions of Chapter 339, RSMo, shall not be construed to require a license or certificate for certain persons as set out in subsection 5 of section 339.501 of this act.

Provisions of this act were included in SCS/SB 291 in 1996.
