The act also adds new language that requires the long-term care facilities that require certificates of need to submit data to the Department of Health. Such data shall include, but is not limited to, charges by the facility, amounts billed to medicare, medicaid, and other government sources, financial data of the facility, and patient abstract data (date of birth, sex, race, diagnoses, billed charges, etc.).
