Current Bill Summary

SB 85 - Contributions made by political party committees are ten times the regular contribution limits for the office sought. The party committee may also make in-kind contributions valued at up ten times the contribution limits. An unopposed candidate in the primary may accept only one-half of the contributions specified above, both financial and in-kind, from a party committee.

Contribution limits requirements have been challenged in court, and certain limits have been struck down, however, the matter is pending in the U.S. Supreme Court, in "Shrink Missouri Government, PAC v. Adams".
