SB 108 - This act allows political subdivisions in third
classification counties to be exempt from the state prevailing
wage law, if approved by the voters of that political
subdivision. Either approval of the governing body or a petition
signed by 10% of all registered voters in that political
subdivision would be required before the proposal could be
submitted to the voters for approval. The prevailing wage
applicable to construction projects involving federal funds would
not be affected.
