SCS/SB 225 - This act specifies a termination date for the
licensing of physical therapists without examination. Under
current law, the Board of Healing Arts may not license physical
therapists without examination after June 30, 1998. This act
allows the Board to license a physical therapy assistant for up
to ninety days after the effective date of this section (July 18,
1999). This act has an emergency clause and it became effective
on March 19, 1999.
