SB 345 - This act prohibits partial birth abortion. The act contains definitions of "born", "partially born" and "serious physical injury"; prohibits partial birth abortions as infanticide, unless necessary to preserve the life of or prevent serious physical injury to the mother; prohibits prosecution of the mother; and provides that infanticide is a Class A felony.
This act is similar to SS#3/SCS/HS/HCS/HBs 427, 40, 196 & 404.
