Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 441 - This act changes the salaries of Commissioners within the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations so that they are set at $3,000 more than the Chief Administrative Law Judge's salary. Since the Chief Administrative Law Judge's salary is calculated as a percentage of Associate Circuit Judge Salaries plus $5,000, the Commissioners' salary is ultimately calculated based on 90% of the Associate Circuit Judges salary, plus $8,000. The current salary for Associate Circuit Judges for FY1999 is $87,235. The Commissioners' salary for FY1999 is $86,843. This act would change the salary under the FY1999 rate to $86,512.

This act is similar to provisions of SB 584 (1998).
