FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Revenue and Department of Public Safety-Missouri Highway Patrol assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

In response to the previous versions of this proposal, officials of the Department of Economic Development-Division of Professional Registration assumed there would be no fiscal impact to their agency.

Oversight assumes this proposal would have no direct fiscal impact on local governments.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
This proposal could affect procedures for funeral processions of small business funeral establishments.


DESCRIPTION

The proposal would define the rights of funeral processions and the obligations of those responsible for them. Pedestrians and other vehicle operators would be required to yield to a funeral procession, with exceptions for emergency vehicles and law enforcement.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
