ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Conservation, Office of State Courts Administrator, Tax Commission, Department of Insurance, Department of Transportation, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Department of Social Services, Department of Revenue, Gaming Commission, Department of Agriculture, Office of Administration, Office of Prosecution Services, House of Representatives, Lieutenant Governor's Office and the Department of Health assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their agencies.

This proposal could have a fiscal impact on small businesses who hire illegal aliens and then attempt to contract with the State. | |||
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would prohibit anyone who is convicted of hiring illegal aliens from entering into a contract with the State for one year. This proposal also allows for penalty clauses in contracts if a contractor is convicted of hiring illegal aliens and has an existing contract with the State at the time.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
