DESCRIPTION

This act changes the residency requirements for aldermen in fourth class cities. The change will require residency in the wards they represent from the time of filing for office throughout service. Current law requires only residency in the city, not the ward.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
