FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the State Courts Administrator and the Office of the Attorney General assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact to their agencies.

Officials of the Department of Corrections (DOC) stated that the procedure outlined in this proposal is one the DOC currently practices, therefore passage of this proposal would have no fiscal implications for their department.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.


DESCRIPTION

This proposal would require the Department of Corrections to notify the parents of any unemancipated minor victim of a sexual offense of any confirmed positive results of HIV testing of the offender in the Department's custody.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
