FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the State Courts Administrator assume there would be no fiscal impact to the courts system from this proposal.

Officials of the Missouri Municipal League assume there would be no fiscal impact on local governments as a result of this proposal.

Officials of the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Public Safety - Division of Liquor Control, Missouri Sheriffs' Association, and Missouri Police Chiefs' Association assume there would be no fiscal impact to their agencies due to this proposal.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

Small business liquor licensees which are located within 300 feet of any school, church or other building regularly used as a place of worship could be affected by this proposal.



DESCRIPTION

This proposal would require resorts which sell liquor by the drink to comply with all city ordinances. In addition, this proposal would prohibit a license from being granted for the sale of intoxicating liquor within three hundred feet of any school, church or other building regularly used as a place of worship.

This proposal contains an emergency clause. The proposal would become effective July 1, 1999 or upon its passage and approval, whichever occurred last.



DESCRIPTION (continued)

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
