FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
This proposal would require licensed liquor establishments to post a warning sign to pregnant women.


DESCRIPTION

This proposal requires any person licensed by the Division of Liquor Control to sell or serve alcoholic beverages at an establishment to post a warning sign stating that alcohol consumption during pregnancy may cause birth defects. The sign would be displayed in a conspicuous place. Failure to post the sign would be an infraction.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program, and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
