FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Social Services, University of Missouri, and Department of Health assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their agencies.

Officials from the St. Louis County Department of Health and Kansas City Director of Health did not respond to our fiscal impact request. However, in their responses to a similar proposal, both agencies indicated no fiscal impact.

FISCAL IMPACT - State Government FY 2000 FY 2001 FY 2002
(10 Mo.)
$0 $0 $0
FISCAL IMPACT - Local Government FY 2000 FY 2001 FY 2002
(10 Mo.)
$0 $0 $0
FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses is expected as a result of this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal deletes the definition of "communicable tuberculosis" and replaces it with the definition of "active tuberculosis". Tuberculosis is considered active until cured. The definition of "cure or treatment to cure" is added and means the completion of a recommended course of therapy as determined by the attending physician.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
