FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Economic Development - Division of Professional Registration (DPR) and the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DOL) assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.


DESCRIPTION

The proposed legislation would allow the Board of Registration for the Healing Arts to license certain persons as physical therapist assistants without an examination until ninety days after the effective date of this legislation. The current statute imposes a limit of ninety days after rules are developed by the Board. This proposal would contain an emergency clause.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.

This proposal would not affect Total State Revenues.
