DESCRIPTION

This proposal provides that the public policy of this state is to recognize marriage only between a man and woman. The proposal invalidates any marriage not between a man and a woman. No recorder of deeds is to record a same sex marriage. This state will not recognize a marriage between persons of the same sex even if valid where contracted.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
