DESCRIPTION
The proposal would require banks that relocate from another state to have a five-year-old bank charter before engaging in interstate acquisition or merger. The proposal contains an emergency clause.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
