FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Economic Development - Division of Motor Carrier and Railroad Safety assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agency.

Officials of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) assume the proposal could result in a potential reduction in federal funding due to permitting truck lengths that are not in compliance with Title 23 of the United States Code (Public Law 97-424). MoDOT officials indicate the amount of the reduction cannot be determined until after the state was found to be in noncompliance with the aforementioned Public Law.

Officials of the Department of Public Safety - Missouri Highway Patrol and the Division of Highway Safety assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.
