FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Department of Health, Department of Social Services, and Department of Mental indicated that this proposal would not affect their agencies.
Missouri House of Representatives (MHR) officials state this proposal would extend duties and responsibilities of the Joint Committee on Health Care Policy and Planning beyond December 31, 1999. Using current mileage and per diem rates, the costs for five representatives attending one day meetings twice during non-session would be approximately $1,390
Missouri Senate officials did not respond to our fiscal impact request. Oversight assumes the costs for five senators attending these meetings would be similar to that estimated by MHR, or $1,390.
Oversight notes that the Joint Committee on Health Care Policy and Planning employs a research analyst. This fiscal note will show continued costs for Committee staff for one-half of FY 2000 and all of FY 2001 and FY 2002.
