COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Agriculture by a vote of 22 to 0.
This bill removes the December 31, 2001, expiration date on the
Sustainable Agricultural Demonstration Awards Program.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the sustainable agricultural
demonstration award program is of great value to small farmers
and should be continued.
Testifying for the bill were Representative Leake; Missouri
Department of Agriculture; Sierra Club of Missouri; Missouri
Cattlemens Association; Missouri Corn Growers Association; and
Missouri Farm Bureau.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
