Fund of $0 in FY 2000, and $1,600,000 in FY 2001 and FY 2002.

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Committee on
Environment and Energy by a vote of 15 to 0.
Land disposal and category fees for hazardous waste generators
will expire on January 1, 2000. This substitute extends the
fees to January 1, 2005.
FISCAL NOTE: Estimated Net Income to Hazardous Waste Remedial
Fund is $0 for FY 2000, and $1,600,00 for FY 2001 and FY 2002.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the fees are necessary to
provide funds for emergency response activities, the non-federal
share of Superfund cleanups and brownfield grants, and health
studies on the impacts of hazardous materials.
Testifying for the bill were Representative Ransdall; Department
of Natural Resources; Associated Industries of Missouri;
Chemical Council of Missouri; Holnam, Inc.; Missouri Chamber of
Commerce; and Office of the Attorney General.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
