COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Public
Health and Safety by a vote of 10 to 3.

This bill eliminates the expiration date for the Joint Committee
on Health Care Policy and Planning.  Currently, the expiration
date of the committee is December 31, 1999.

FISCAL NOTE:  Estimated Net Cost to Joint Contingency Fund of
$2,780 in FY 2000, FY 2001, and FY 2002.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that health care policy is an
important issue in the state of Missouri.  The joint committee
should be continued.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Lakin.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
