HB 808 -- OFFICIAL STATE EMBLEM CO-SPONSORS: Naeger, Davis (122) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Tourism, Recreation and Cultural Affairs by a vote of 17 to 0. This bill makes the apple the official fruit of the State of Missouri. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the apple has a long history in Missouri. The apple is the largest fruit crop in Missouri. Missouri is the second largest apple producer state in the country. Testifying for the bill were Representatives Naeger and Davis (122).
