HB 861 -- SURPLUS PROPERTY

Under current law, the Commissioner of Administration may
distribute state surplus supplies or property to certain
volunteer fire protection associations in the same manner as
used for the distribution of federal surplus property.  This
bill extends the eligible donees to include all fire
departments, fire protection districts, and certain not-for--
profit public service corporations which provide training to
fire departments, emergency medical technicians, and police
officers in search and recovery techniques, water rescue, ice
rescue, and watercraft operation.
