FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Economic Development- Professional Registration assume no fiscal impact.

Officials of the Cass County Commission assume this proposal will cost their county

$25,000 for an election.

Oversight assumes due to a change in classification of Cass County, that the County Surveyor would become appointed rather than elected. Oversight assumes that this proposal would put the office of Surveyor back to being an elected office. Oversight assumes that to put the office of Surveyor on the ballot would have minimal impact, because the election would be held at the same time as other office holders. Oversight assumes there would be some printing costs, however, that cost would not be significant. Oversight will show cost as $0.
