ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Office of Administration, Department of Transportation, Department of Conservation, Office of Secretary of State, City of Kansas City, and the City of Springfield assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.
Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator (CTS) would anticipate a small increase in the number of cases filed. CTS would not expect a significant impact on the budget of the judiciary.
Officials from St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jackson County, and St. Charles County did not respond to Oversight's request for fiscal impact.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
The proposed legislation could have a fiscal impact on small businesses that rent equipment.
DESCRIPTION
The proposed legislation would expand the lien law to include rental equipment.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
