FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Office of the Governor assume if they would have to review the status of all ex-offenders and determine whether steps need to be taken to allow them to vote would have fiscal impact. Officials stated there are approximately 17,000 offenders released from custody each year.

In FY 2005 only 3 legal counsel would be needed at a total cost of $157,594: and $161,534 in FY 2006. Fringe benefit costs would be $224,693 in FY 2004: $63,778 in FY 2005, and $65,373 in FY 2006.
