ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Kansas City Board of Election Commission stated that the Election Board currently submits their request to the funding entities and appear for budget hearings. Officials assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agency.
Officials from the Kansas City Manager's Office and the Jackson County Executive did not respond to Oversight's request for fiscal impact.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
The proposal provides that the governing body of a city or county shall approve all expenditures from their respective general revenue funds to local election boards.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
