ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Kansas City Board of Election Commission stated that the Election Board currently submits their request to the funding entities and appear for budget hearings. Officials assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agency.



Platte County officials did not respond to this proposal. Oversight assumes this proposal is procedural and does not generate any additional cost or savings to political subdivisions. Oversight assumes this proposal would have no state or local government fiscal impact.

DESCRIPTION



This act provides that the governing body of Platte county or any city located within Platte county would have to approve all expenditures from their respective general revenue funds made by local election boards.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
