FISCAL ANALYSIS



ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) - Division of Fire Safety, DPS - Missouri Highway Patrol, Missouri Department of Conservation, Office of the Governor, Department of Natural Resources, Office of Lieutenant Governor, Eureka Fire Protection District, Springfield Police Department, Taney County Ambulance District and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department assume the proposal will not fiscally impact their organizations.



Officials from the Valle Ambulance District state this proposal will result in minimal cost savings to their organization. The proposal will result in their having to prepare and send data to one less recipient, therefore, resulting in a savings of approximately $55.



Oversight assumes, based on local government responses, that the proposal would have a minimal positive fiscal impact on local governments.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal allows the executive officer of a political subdivision to enter into agreements for reciprocal emergency aid without approval of the Governor.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
