FISCAL ANALYSIS



ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Department of Social Services, and the Office of State Public Defender indicated there would be no fiscal impact on their agencies.



Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator stated there would be no fiscal impact on the Courts.



In response to a similar proposal, officials from the Office of Prosecution Services assumed that any costs to prosecutors could be absorbed.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal requires the juvenile court to notify and report to the school district any violations of Section 167.031, RSMo. The school district shall immediately refer all private, parochial, or home school matters to the prosecuting attorney. Public school violations of Section 167.031, RSMo, may be referred to the prosecuting attorney.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
