FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, the Department of Mental Health, the Missouri Conservation Department, and the Missouri Senate stated that the proposal would have no direct fiscal effect on their agencies.

Officials of the Office of the Governor stated that if the proposal would require Senate approval of appointments to state positions, committees and boards then the proposal would have minimal impact. If the proposal were interpreted to mean that any gubernatorial appointment would require Senate approval then the Office of the Governor would request two (2) additional staff.

members.

Oversight assumes, for fiscal note purposes, that the proposal refers to appointments of members of administrative boards, administrative commissions, department heads and division heads.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space. This proposal would not affect Total State Revenue.
