Senator Adam Schnelting, a Republican, serves St. Charles County in the Missouri Senate. He is an Army Combat Engineer who now serves in IRR. 

Senator Schnelting, whose family came to America in 1628, is a 7th-generation Missourian. 

He obtained his degree in Christian ministry from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and has a degree in political science. He received a Baccalaureate degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

 Prior to his election, Senator Schnelting served three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives. 

Senator Schnelting currently resides in St. Charles with his wife, Christine; their daughter, Catherine; and son, George.
