Officials of the Office of the Governor assumes there would be no fiscal impact to their office.
Officials of the City of St. Louis, St. Louis Election Board, and the St. Louis Police Board assume no fiscal impact from this proposal.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This act transfers control over St. Louis City's police board and election board from the Governor to the Mayor. Current law requiring "advice and consent of the Senate" for appointments to these two boards are changed to "advice and consent of the Board of Alderman". All other restrictions concerning political parties, bonds and office staff are unchanged.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
