FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This act changes the way fire districts can contract with cities within St. Louis County. Current law limits the compensation to a fee based on the tax rate used by the district multiplied by the assessed valuation of the city. This act would allow for negotiation of an agreement based on any method of compensation to which the parties agree.
This act has an emergency clause.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space. This proposal would not affect Total State Revenue.
