ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Missouri Department of Transportation (DHT) state this proposal renames the tourist information center in Atchison County the "Hardin C. Cox Missouri Information Center".
The DHT assumes there would be no fiscal impact to their agency because neither the bill nor the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) mandate signage. The DHT hopes that civic organizations or individual donors would contribute funds to pay a one-time cost for two signs to be installed near the center at an approximate cost of $2,524.
Officials from the Secretary of State's Office and the Department of Economic Development - Division of Tourism state this proposal would not fiscally impact their respective agencies.
