FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
This proposal would require licensed liquor establishments to post a warning sign notifying pregnant women that drinking alcoholic beverages during pregnancy may cause birth defects. The impact would be minimal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal requires the placement of warning signs in establishments licensed to sell or serve alcoholic beverages. The warning sign must be on the premises and must state that drinking alcoholic beverages during pregnancy may cause birth defects. No person who violates these provisions shall be guilty of a crime.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program, and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
