Officials from the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Central Missouri State University, Harris-Stowe State College, Missouri Western State College, and Linn State Technical College, assume the proposal would result in no fiscal impact to those institutions.
Officials from the University of Missouri said they could not determine the fiscal impact on their institution.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
The proposal would require each approved public institution to admit an applicant for admission to the institution as an undergraduate student if the applicant graduates from a public or private accredited high school and has a grade-point average in the top ten percent of the high school class.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
